Introduction
This free cross stitch pattern is very special to me because I designed it with lots of love for an embroidery event held in Madrid in 2023. It was organized by The Cotton Worm in the beautiful space of La Laborteca de Julia, and I was thrilled to be able to participate.
Although I couldn’t be there in person, this design was my way of being present behind the scenes, celebrating embroidery and the community that makes it possible.
Materials Needed
To complete this cross stitch project, you’ll need:
- A piece of 14 ct. Aida fabric
- DMC Mouliné threads in the following colors: 603, 605, 700, 740, 742, 907, 3033, 3804
- Size 24 blunt tip needle
- Embroidery hoop (optional)
Free Cross Stitch Pattern
This design is perfect for stitching on a quiet afternoon. It has a delicate feel, with details that remind me of those gatherings where we share threads, ideas, and lots of laughter.
Ideas to Personalize the Cross Stitch Pattern
Feel free to adapt it as you like:
- Use a different color palette to make it your own
- Stitch it on hand-dyed or mottled linen
- Turn it into an embroidered card or a mini artwork
- Stitch it onto a garment using hemp canvas or water-soluble canvas
